Members John at Byson Posted March 25, 2010 Members Report Posted March 25, 2010 Hi all. My name is John Warr, and my wife Gwen & I run Byson Leather in Hertfordshire UK. We repair , alter and customize clothing, specializing in motorcycle leathers. Much as we would like to, we don't make much - there isn't the time to do everything, but we have a set of ladies sidecar passenger race leathers on the bench at the moment we are making for a friend. I am wrestling with an old Singer 29K58 currently, and one of the members here recommended this forum (Hi Al !) More information on our web site http://www.bysonleather.co.uk Quote
Ambassador abn Posted March 25, 2010 Ambassador Report Posted March 25, 2010 John, welcome to LW.net. As you probably figured out, most of us create leatherwork from scratch, but I definitely have a great appreciation for folks like you who can make older or damaged leather products look like new. That's a nice skill set to have! Quote
Ambassador Luke Hatley Posted March 25, 2010 Ambassador Report Posted March 25, 2010 Thank you so much for comming to the L W . youre web site is very informative... Quote
Members OdinUK Posted March 30, 2010 Members Report Posted March 30, 2010 Welcome John, now I know where to go when my next zip breaks. I recently had to get the zip replaced on my leather jacket. I expect one of my boot zips may be next! They have lasted too long... Quote
Members celticleather Posted March 30, 2010 Members Report Posted March 30, 2010 Welcome, John. Fancy meeting you here! We often send people your way when they've busted their leathers, and all we ever get back is praise for what you've done for them. Keep it up! Terry (Shoe Box, Letchworth) Quote
Contributing Member UKRay Posted March 31, 2010 Contributing Member Report Posted March 31, 2010 Welcome, John. It is always nice to know someone who I can send people too when I can't help them. Enjoy the forum and do post pics of your work when you can. Repairs are one of the hardest parts of this business and you have a good reputation. I'd like to learn from you - and I have a 29k58 too!
