DomsLeather Report post Posted April 4, 2010 I had a small strip of 5-7 oz Latigo..I wanted to make some lace about the same width as the thickness to try some braiding making key fobs...Anyway I have a Stript Ease I set it to the thickness i wanted...Issue i had was keeping the leather against the side of the fence..the strip I was cutting was irregular width so was odd to keep it tight...seems like the fence is too long on the Stript Ease not quite like using a Draw gauge with the handle offset...I had fair results if i pushed the leather trough about a inch at a time...If i tried to hold the lace and the leather after it was cut and pull it would run out...I was wondering if an Australian strander would be a better choice...Hope someone has ideas lol
