Yes, this is the one I mentioned in the other thread. Eight plait of about 1/4" wide and fairly thick rawhide over paracord. Four plait of that size over no core would be how you make a reata, I don't think my dog is going to break this one.

I love how we all come up with little ways to change things up. I would have never thought of a button on the end of the loop! Nice touch. That's one big snap. I like how you covered the snap too, another brilliant idea.

Well I had to terminate it somehow. It isn't a loop and back braid, it goes 8 - 4 - 8.
