Members calanneh Posted April 17, 2008 Members Report Posted April 17, 2008 (edited) Hey folks, I've been a leatherworker.net member for a week or so but just found this board. I have been working with leather since Oct, 2007. I began making belts and pouches for mine and my wife's Ren Fest costumes. Since then I've gone off the deep end and made a belt, 3 pounches, a pair of gaunlets, two pair of high top moc boots, a shoulder bag (from a kit), several little cases for my tools and have even tore a shoulder muscle while sewing one of my projects by hand!! I had to stop for two month while the shoulder healed, but I've been to Tandy twice this week and am back at it with my first carving project (a wallet). I will upload pics in the 'show off' gallery. I look forward to being part of this great leather workign community. cal Edited April 17, 2008 by calanneh Quote William Tandy Store #17 800-772-2629 Union City, CA

Hilly Posted April 29, 2008 Report Posted April 29, 2008 Welcome! Marlon is right in that this is truly addictive! You hurt your shoulder while stitching???? At least you didn't bleed on your leather! Wow, I only stab my fingers once in a while... Quote
