Vikefan Report post Posted May 23, 2010 Here are a few pictures of my latest project. A holster that fits a Ruger .22 LR Super Single Six with a 6 1/2" barrel. I have been having trouble with my stitching, been trying an awl, and small drill bit with a dremel and cannot get my hand-stitching the way I would like them (consistent and professional looking. Please take a look and critique my work. Thanks,
roo4u Report post Posted May 23, 2010 thats a nice looking holster. your stitching doesnt look bad...i dont make holsters but i do a bit of hand stitching and i use a 4 prong stitch punch to mark out the stitches so that i get perfect even stitches and then the other hard part is consistent tension on the thread so our stitches are all the same size. that just takes practice. great hand stitching is an art...thats why most folks use a sewing machine. keep at it though.
