Members Daggrim Posted May 30, 2010 Members Report Posted May 30, 2010 Hey Tom, I'm not sure what a plague doctor is, but I love the look. It's a departure from the more high tech steampunk style. I really dig the more primitive look with the simpler details, like the one big buckle. The power is in the great silhouette, and then the distressed look, which gives it an air of authenticity. Kinda like the costume details in the new Robin Hood movie, which look wonderfully grimey. Doug Quote

Members TomBanwell Posted May 30, 2010 Author Members Report Posted May 30, 2010 Hey Tom, I'm not sure what a plague doctor is, but I love the look. Sorry bout that! During the plague in the 16th century in Venice doctors actually wore a mask like this as part of their costume. The beak was filled with herbs to ward off the "bad air" that they thought caused the disease. Quote
Members TTcustom Posted May 30, 2010 Members Report Posted May 30, 2010 Lovely and distressing all at the same time! Quote
