THein Report post Posted July 3, 2010 Just wondering how many have opinions on the tech sew/ raphael sewing machines? Both the flatbed and cylinder arm models with walking foot and needle feed. I've heard a lot of good things about other brands but tech sew being in Canada reduces the freight and no customs brokerage fees.

busted Report post Posted August 2, 2010 (edited) Is there nobody that has any exposure to these machines? Posted July 3, 2010 I assume you rare referring to the 111w155. There are no options on the machine other than what came from the factory. I have one of these machines. It sews very good. It is a flat bed walking foot with reverse paid 285.00 for it 4 years ago. The largest thread you can get on it is 92. I reduced the speed to around 300 spm (made the reducer myself). I do not use the oil pan that came with the machine. It isn't needed with the slower speed. Overall it is a very good machine. I hope this helps. Edited August 2, 2010 by busted

Our version of the 111w155 (Techsew 0302) has plenty of presser foot and accessories options and can also be equipped with either a 3/4HP clutch motor or Techsew 550 variable speed servo motor. It's a great machine for upholstery, bags, wallets, car and boat covers, general leatherwork and more. It can use up to 138 thread size and up to size 23 needle. Feel free to call or email us if you have any questions about this or other machines that we carry. Ron Edited August 2, 2010 by Ronnie
Dirck Report post Posted August 13, 2012 I've had one for about three years. It does everything I've asked, once I learned how to set it up, canvas, leather, vinyl, nylon strap...with the right needle and thread. I've also done about everything you can do to SLOW it down. 2 speed motor and smaller motor pulley.
