Members artificer13 Posted July 7, 2010 Members Report Posted July 7, 2010 Hi All, Just thought I'd drop in a few pix of my new hunting sporran. When I was starting sketches, I discovered that I wasn't crazy about the 'petals' that normally adorn the front. I WAS drawn to HRH Prince Charles' favorite 'day' sporran, a hunter- this was apparently given to him many years ago by an uncle. I based the central targe of mine on his, as well as the 'petal folds' rather than tassels or stitched down petals. The leather is a pull-up 4oz, structural body is 4oz veg tan. Lined with pig split. I've made a few changes to the pattern in the way the gusset attaches to the face, gusset thickness, and a few other small details for the next ones being made. As always, helpful critique and commentary is invited and welcome. Thanks for looking!
