I started making these bags recently. Smaller crossbody style and measure 7x7.5 inches. They’re a lot of fun to make and come out beautiful. Dyed vegtan flaps and backs stitched to black and brown CrazyHorse. I love the combination of the two leathers. I recently received these commissions from two of my favorite bands: leather album sleeves! These are super limited editions and contain a test pressing of each EP. The brown split album has an actual tintype photograph slipped into the frame. Artwork and track listings are laser engraved and I made embossing plates for the Celtic knot work and the overall art on the green Rumjacks' album.

Thank for the reply! What I'm left with is basically the shoulder size panel. It's thick stuff so not suited for what you've listed. I cut a bunch of it for coasters but I have SOOO much it's kind of a burden. lol It's Wicket & Craig bridle leather (good stuff!)

Hello! I need some help with ideas! I make belts out of 10/12 ounce bridle but when I buy a side I always cut it down to about 55 inches in length. I'm left with a good portion of the hide which I use to make small strap items. My problem is the leftovers are starting to stack up and don't know what to make out of these larger panels. I can only make so many key fobs. In short, what else could I make? I need ideas! Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply! My apologies, I think I was overthinking this. So my screws have domed caps and should closely match the concave underside of the coin and make for a solid bond. I probably need shorter screws too if I’m just putting these on thinner pieces like a wallet as mine are .25”.

Thank you for the instructions on this! I’ve been thinking about making coin conchos. One question: where do you find the rivet snap tubes without the cap? I’d like to use Chicago screws as well but I have no clue where to find just the female end without a base.

I find it easy to use, but I’ve also been using it for close to 25 years. There are a lot of tutorials out there you should check out. It’s great software.

Yes, I drew the pattern in illustrator after tracing the blade. The PDF I included up there contains vector lines if you’d like to lase it too.

That’s my custom Leather Wranglers SK-V with pyrographed artwork by Britt Nantz. It has my initials on one side and Celtic hounds on the other.

Finally found some time to make a sheath for my LW round knife. Hot Tip: I like using Tandy’s black All-In-One for antiquing some things. It’s a terrible dye but a great antique! Brush it on and when dry it kind of wipes off here and there when I apply Resolene to seal. It gives it a weathered look that I was going for here. I also added a PDF of the pattern I made for this morning f you’d like to make yourself one. The strap I made a little longer than needed so placement can be how you like it to be. Enjoy! Thanks! There are quite a few tree of life designs out there, all different with various knotwork. Also, no airbrush here. Just used a sponge for the brown and paint brush for the green. Thank you! I used Tandy’s Waterstain in light brown and the tree is their green. I like the colors, they’re very rich and go on nicely. I use Fiebing’s alcohol dyes as well but their colors always come out so dark. I like to thin them with denatured alcohol.

Just finished this bifold up today. I think it came out great, it’s been a while since the last one I made. I didn’t get a photo but the cash pocket is lined with a nice plaid fabric.
