Higgy Report post Posted July 11, 2010 (edited) I just finished the pouch. It is the first one I have made of veg tan leather. I will be making more. Edited July 11, 2010 by Higgy
terrymac Report post Posted July 11, 2010 I like your design, layout, and the double row stitching. The only thing I would suggest is go to the "How do I do This" section, and read Bob Park's (AKA Hidepounder) post on how to do edges. You will be able to see the difference in what his looks like and the difference in yours. Doing edges is a lot of work if you don't have the power tools, but it will certainly add to the quality of the finished product. Terry

I have read his post and it has proven very beneficial in helping me progress in the craft. It is suggestions like yours that make me take a second, objective look at a piece and make it better. When I pull up the photos on my own post, I can see even greater detail than in person. I agree with you that to make this project complete, I need to do a little more burnishing and coating to the edges.
