Belt Keeper Parts?

Recommended Posts

I'm planning to make a bunch of belts and need to know what you all use for the keepers. Do you make your own or buy pre-made ones in quantity? I think I would make my own, but I'm open to thoughts on this.

I would like to know where one can find the clamp type pieces (and the tools to set them, if there is one) as shown below.

Thanks!!

The "clamp" you are referring to is called a belt loop staple. I use a pair of needle nose pliers to set the ones I make.

Tandy, Ebay, Siegles of California, Beilers MFG. Supply Co. 717-768-0174 is their number. They will be more than

happy to help.

I use staples and have used them without any problems for several years. The product you are showing is from several mfg's. Get a Weavers catalog and you will find the entire system. Alittle pricey but it will get the job done.

I use the Weaver staples (I've always amazing service from those guys) and set them with pliers. They look fine if you are careful. Sure I'd like the press and setting tools but I don't use enough for it to concern me. I guess I set about 500 a year and have never had a problem.
