Members SOSHorses Posted July 25, 2010 Members Report Posted July 25, 2010 (edited) Here is my newest creation. A full leather cover for a Fender Telecaster. So tell me what you think. There are things I wish I had done differently but overall I am content with it. Edited July 25, 2010 by SOSHorses Quote

King's X Posted July 26, 2010 Report Posted July 26, 2010 That's purdy! I've got a pick guard waiting in the midst for my carving. Enjoy Quote
Members SOSHorses Posted July 27, 2010 Author Members Report Posted July 27, 2010 (edited) Thanks! I actually have another one sitting in the shop that I am about to start on. It is based on Waylon's black and white tele. I can't wait to get it finished because I think it is going to look really cool. I am going to use a little thicker leather on this one so I can really give it more depth. Edited July 27, 2010 by SOSHorses Quote
Members Ollie Stench Posted January 14, 2011 Members Report Posted January 14, 2011 I've been wanting to do this for ages. Is there a pattern/tutorial anywhere? Quote

What effect does the leather have on the quality of sound and would heavier leather have more effect? ferg Quote

What effect does the leather have on the quality of sound and would heavier leather have more effect? ferg Sorry I forgot about checking on this thread. It doesn't so long as you use wood spacers under the important parts and insulate the electronic parts. The neck, bridge and all have to be shimmed up. Ollie Stench No there aren't any patterns like this. You just have to lay out the pattern to work around the parts. Quote

I think I'm gonna start with just a pickguard and work my way up to a whole case. Quote
