3heartsmike Report post Posted July 28, 2010 I can only say Thank You for the inspiration and great ideas the members of this site have given me...hhhmmmm...sounds like I am sucking up a little...maybe I am... ...That having been said...a little of "I am not worthy" does overcome me when I look at the credentials and experience of the members of this site. I have now worked up my gumption to post my work...This is Saddle #9...Bowden Wade tree...Wickett and Craig Leather...Watt Brothers Hardware...I "built" up the horn with a more "domed" effect and shaped the front...ALL input is appreciated and Welcome!!!! Thank You...

Dwight Report post Posted July 28, 2010 THAT is one fine looking saddle. You certainly have much more patience and skill in tooling than I have. If I may ask, . . . when you ordered your tree, . . . what specifically did you ask for. I was looking on their website, and couldn't figure out which tree you ordered. I especially like the upswept and high rear seat. Thanks, may God bless, Dwight
3heartsmike Report post Posted August 30, 2010 Thanks to you both for your input...I truly appreciate it. I must apologize I didn't know I had any repiles at all. Your kind words are truly appreciated. Dwight this is Bowden's stock Wade...I must admit I cheated on the cantle back and added an extension from Ralide...blasphemy to some, I know, but I really was looking for a 5 inch cantle...and got about a 5 1/2...As for the layout of the tooling...well I got to spend a great deal on time with an old saddlemaker, who lived in my area of Florida...and I own one of his saddles...His name was Dave Jones...look him up if you get a chance...sadly he passed away in April...death of an icon in lkeather work and horse training. Thank You for your kindness...I appreciate it... Take Care and Be Safe, Mike
