Regis Report post Posted April 25, 2008 SRigs, Very neat. With the clip passing through the leather, it looks like it would be hard to push down over the pants behind the belt. Or is there a curve in the clip away from the leather that I just cant see in the picture? I to like the color. It also looks like I've been leaving my rough-out (IWB) a little rougher (less burnished) than yours. I like the looks of your's better. Thaks for the photo's. The IWB I added a reinforcement due to thinner leather of 5-6 on the outside and 6-7 on the inside. Ideally for this weight of a gun 6-7 or 7-8 would be better than no reinforcement is necessary. The marbling effect is due to different densities in the leather and using water based dyes. It is a nice look and people seem to like it. Regis, The clip is straight and this has worked well and makes it easy to assemble and very secure in practice. All, The color is Bison Brown and the holsters were dipped and then wiped off right away after 5 seconds in the mixture. Shorts Report post Posted April 26, 2008 Srigs, I've noticed the marbling effect with these EcoFlo dyes too. It seems that some marbling will always show through, but the effect can be reduced, if desired, by applying more dye to saturate the leather to a larger extent. And the "marbling effect" I had to smile about....I've been calling the Eco-Flo results much worse than that, but on some jobs, it works out very well, like on yours.
