Members budd4766 Posted September 23, 2010 Members Report Posted September 23, 2010 There's two Tandy stores in IL. One in Elgin, the other in Peoria. Either should have a basic carving class to get you started. http://www.tandyleatherfactory.com/default.asp?sectionpath=1%2F226&processor=asp&asp_processor=directory&action=searchall&p_countryid=USA&p_stateid=IL&p_city= Quote
Moderator Johanna Posted September 23, 2010 Moderator Report Posted September 23, 2010 There are active leather guilds in Indiana & Illinois. You can learn quite a bit here, too, just post pics and ask questions. Johanna Quote
Members Skidder Posted December 1, 2010 Members Report Posted December 1, 2010 I'm down by St. Louis, about 60 miles south of Springfield. There's a tandy store in the area, or you can contact me. Not sure how much help I'll be, but I know the basics and can send a few pictures to see if you're interested. Quote
