Members bullwhips Posted October 10, 2010 Members Report Posted October 10, 2010 I don't do a lot of flat braiding, but here's a 16 plait bracelet. It's a two tone natural and brandy kangaroo. I think it came out pretty well. Louie Quote http://bullwhips.org
Members ifoo Posted October 10, 2010 Members Report Posted October 10, 2010 Very very beautiful and stylish! Can you explain, how is the transition from flat to round with 16? Is there any tutorial? Quote https://www.facebook...216504445174869
Members bullwhips Posted October 11, 2010 Author Members Report Posted October 11, 2010 I don't know if I have a "pattern" for going from round to flat. I basically put the two 8 plait end together and figured out the way that looked best and made the most sense. It doesn't need to be perfect because I put a turkshead over it. Members 8thsinner Posted October 13, 2010 Members Report Posted October 13, 2010 I like that a lot. Makes a change from all of us making round braid works... Love the braid work and colour choice, Hey, Has that been like flattened like rolled? It's all very even and neat. And the pineapple shows no sign of stretched lace, excellent. Members bullwhips Posted October 13, 2010 Author Members Report Posted October 13, 2010 I didn't flatten or roll it, it came out soo nice and neat I didn't have to. This was made out of leftover kangaroo from making whips and it was centers of a pretty firm roo skin, so it was ultra prime lace! For the knot I thinned it down before I tied it. I"m very happy with how this turned out. Normally I do round braiding, however lately I've found the different patterns with flat braiding very interesting. Louie Quote http://bullwhips.org
Members 8thsinner Posted October 13, 2010 Members Report Posted October 13, 2010 Even more impressive that it came out like that. Have you played much with croc braids in multiple tones? Quote Doing the right thing is bleeding for the cause. Website Facebook
Members bullwhips Posted October 15, 2010 Author Members Report Posted October 15, 2010 I haven't messed around too much with croc ridge braiding. Louie Quote http://bullwhips.org
