Leather Bum Posted October 21, 2010 Report Posted October 21, 2010 (edited) Those are very nicely-made -- the clever flap tooling adds an interesting, custom touch. I especially like the neat stitching and overall clean look, though . . . Is it hand stitched or machine stitched? If you don't mind my asking, what size and type of thread did you use? EDIT: I'm going to guess they're stitched by hand just by how the thread lies and the way the stitch spacing appears to vary just slightly. I would actually like my stitching to look this good. . . Thanks for posting. Micah Edited October 21, 2010 by Leather Bum Quote
Members compound Posted October 21, 2010 Author Members Report Posted October 21, 2010 Hi Thanks for appreciations. Yes, this is hand stitched with synthetic braided thread AMANN thickness 0,8mm(i think it is made in Germany). Sizes of stitches are 5mm. Is very important choose correct combinations awl , thread and stitches sizes. I finished with Fiebing´s antique finish before stitching for better cotrast of stitches Quote
