Members hivemind Posted October 23, 2010 Members Report Posted October 23, 2010 (edited) Finally finished this today. Quiver and scabbard are 5-6 oz vegetan dyed with Fiebing's tan, buttcap is 3/8" plywood, strapping is 10oz cordovan latigo, solid brass buckles and rings. The shoulder strap is adjustable, and attaches with a snap-link (like a dog leash), and the waist belt is permanently attached to the bottom ring. Modeled by my unwilling wife. This isn't for hunting, it's for medieval battle games. The tooling: Edited October 23, 2010 by hivemind Quote
Members Meleck Posted October 24, 2010 Members Report Posted October 24, 2010 Is that for LARP or for SCA type arrows? I thought it was big for a hunting or even a 3D-competition quiver. Is the other "pouch" for the boffer weapon? Quote

Is the other "pouch" for the boffer weapon? It looks like one for the longbow and the other for the arrows...but I guess I could be wrong...lol. Quote
Members hivemind Posted October 24, 2010 Author Members Report Posted October 24, 2010 It's for Dagorhir, so the arrows all have around 3" diameter heads on them, and will go in nock-down. The square tube-thing is a scabbard for a sword. Quote
mendedbowl Posted October 25, 2010 Report Posted October 25, 2010 very nice work. i built a nock down quiver earlier this year, for my son to use at Ragnarok. i like your setup better than how i did mine. ken Quote

He and I probably crossed swords there. Ask him if he saw the unit of undead - that's us. Quote
mendedbowl Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 LOL then i probably have a picture of you. I attend with him and a few of his friends. were you there when they caged the Templar? Pennsylvania was nice... but there's nothing like drifting off to sleep with the sound of drums at spring valley. ken Quote
Members hivemind Posted November 5, 2010 Author Members Report Posted November 5, 2010 I was cooking dinner during that, but some of my guys were fighting with the Templars, and we camped next to them at Badon this year. And I had all the drums I could play - I was drumming until late every night. Quote
Members Thanatos Posted January 18, 2012 Members Report Posted January 18, 2012 If i may ask what was the diamater of the bottom and opening of the quiver? I am wanting to make one similiar to this (without the scabbard) but I am unsure of how big it needs to be Quote
Members hivemind Posted January 18, 2012 Author Members Report Posted January 18, 2012 (edited) Bottom is a 4" diameter circle. Top is probably 14"-15" in circumference. Edited January 18, 2012 by hivemind Quote
