KateC Report post Posted October 26, 2010 Does anyone have a source for horsehide leather? Sheridan leather has some, but it is thinner than ideal in some spots and it bleeds. Most of their hide would be great for seats (as its waterproof), but Im looking for a "garment leather" . Im looking for a source for horsehide fronts in black. Thanks! blaster Report post Posted November 2, 2010 Give Horween leather a call at (773)772-2026. Ask for Curtis Thomas and request some samples of horsefronts. Every serious leather worker should have the experience of working with Cordovan Shell leather at least once. I do not mean the pieces a couple of the companies represented on this forum have for sale. I mean the real "stuff" like Horwein has. Be prepared for sticker shock. ferg
