Pebbly Backgrounders

All my backgrounders are a standard kind of cross-hatched pattern. What tool am I looking for to achieve the pebbly background I sometimes see people getting?

Example:

Big Papa's leather mousepad, on the top border:

I know Bob Beard makes some pebble backgrounders that look really nice but are expensive. I talked to Clay Miller about making some and he seemed interested, just havent gotten them ordered. Not sure if Tandy carries any or not.

Tandy has a 294 series of backgrounders that gives that effect.

I bought mine at Hidecrafters, the number starts with PA00_ and then a number. Tandys tool is not the real pepple tools in the picture.

You could make your own using a dremel on a bolt head

There's usually some pebble backgrounders around on eBay, if eBay floats your boat. It's usually about $25, and "Buy it now!" and not auctions.

They are the same ones Hidecrafter sells if you've got the money look at the custom makers only the small one of mine leaves a nice impression, I plan on upgrading when I can spare some cash.
