Members mwcondit Posted January 13, 2011 Members Report Posted January 13, 2011 I need to know where i can buy those angled stirrups. Not those aluminum ones, I want wooden ones covered with sheet metal, that I can cover with leather. I have seen them so I know they exist. I would like them 3" wide in the deep roper version , over shoe size. Quote

Members horsewreck Posted January 17, 2011 Members Report Posted January 17, 2011 You might want to look at building up one side of a regular stirrup with a couple of tapered leather plugs in the tread, this gives the same ride as the canted stirrups but looks better. There is a article by Pete Gorrell in the May/June 2007 issue of The leather Crafters and saddlers Journal, that explains it pretty well. I hope this is of some help.......... Jeff Quote
