Members jlaudio29 Posted February 9, 2011 Members Report Posted February 9, 2011 Im not going to finish it, yet anyways, I ran out of leather and the peices i had to use had some soft spot in them, not sure what causes this? but either way when i went to do the stitchign it almost pulled right through and pretty much disappeared in the grooves. But i still wanted to show off the shamrock i made for it.. came out great. Im going to make another one just like it, got some more leather today! Thanks for looking! Quote

Members TexasJack Posted February 10, 2011 Members Report Posted February 10, 2011 Interesting. Think I'd want to see something inside the shamrock other than the side of the holster. Leather dyed green? I don't know --- food for thought. Quote
Members Reno Rich Posted February 27, 2011 Members Report Posted February 27, 2011 Mystery soft spots are usually caused by fatty deposits in the skin. Belly cuts are notoriously soft. Shoulder cuts seem to be more consistant. Quote
Members jlaudio29 Posted March 3, 2011 Author Members Report Posted March 3, 2011 yah it was for sure from using Bellies. It was the first leather i bought, it was the smallest peice/cheapest to see if i could actually make a holster. most of it was fine but it is for sure a lot osfter then shoulders i can tell the difference now that im using shoulders.
