Members JoelR Posted February 21, 2011 Members Report Posted February 21, 2011 I'm still on the lookout for a machine in my ultra-cheap price range. Yeah, I know, but I only do a few hundred a year in work so the proper priced machine would take me years to just make up the money. So, looking at a Consew SK-6F. Anyone have any info on this machine? Primary use would be gun-weight belts. Moderator Art Posted February 21, 2011 Moderator Report Posted February 21, 2011 Interesting machine, I have seen one or two, a little reminiscent of a scaled down 7 class. Drop feed machine uses a 214x1 needle so 328 for leather. It will sew a little under 1/2 inch. Newer models have reverse. I am not sure about feet (availability). It does not have needle feed. If price is very right you might want to pull the trigger, however you can get a brand new machine with needle feed for $1400 to $1600, and without needle feed for $1200. Don't even think of buying without sewing it off. Art I'm still on the lookout for a machine in my ultra-cheap price range.
