Members Peter S Posted March 7, 2011 Members Report Posted March 7, 2011 When I stop sewing and lift the presser up, the wheel won't swing/fold up without catching the leather under it that's being sewn. Sometimes I like to stop while stitching and see where I'm at, but the roller foot will only swing up after the leather has been removed from the machine. I tried turning the pressure way down with the thumb screw on top, but that didn't help enough. When you take the face plate off, it looks like perhaps one could move the foot mechanism to a higher point on the pressure bar. Anyone know if my roller foot should be acting this way? Is it normal? Everything else about the roller foot functions fine. Thanks. Quote
CowboyBob Posted March 7, 2011 Report Posted March 7, 2011 Have you adjusted the lift yet?You should have to raise the pressure bar up approx 1/4" this will give more lift under the roller>The reason the foot swings is so you can thread ur needle, because as you swing it down it goes lower by way it's made.
