Members Gawdzilla Posted March 19, 2011 Members Report Posted March 19, 2011 I'm looking for a tool that will put a small curve on both sides of a cut. If you've ever seen the stylized "double bow" that is used to suggest birds, that's what I would like to have. Any clues for Googling would be appreciated. Quote

Members Gawdzilla Posted March 23, 2011 Author Members Report Posted March 23, 2011 (edited) Look for "Veiner Stamp" Thanks, I'll check it out. Sorry, that's now what I'm looking for. This stamp would have a gull-wing profile to it, so both sides of a cut would be curved at the same time. I need it for places where neither side of a cut should be lower than the other, but definition of the cut is needed for emphasis. Like this, but curved, not flat. Members TigerPal Posted March 23, 2011 Members Report Posted March 23, 2011 Hmmm - maybe a little work with a "rat-tail" (round) file would give that stamp the curved faces that you are looking for? Quote

I'm grinding a stainless steel bolt down to see how close I can get without doing any real work. Quote
