Members Mike Posted March 27, 2011 Members Report Posted March 27, 2011 I have some gray cow suede. It's chap weight. At one time I had planned a jacket but the material is just too heavy. It's rather dark gray. Any ideas as to what I can use this for? I have 4 hides totaling 41 sq. ft. It's too heavy to mail and there are no local leather workers to trade with. I figure it might be useful for projects but my mind draws a blank. I do not have much experience with suede. It's a bit darker than the photo. Mike Quote

bison Posted March 27, 2011 Report Posted March 27, 2011 Might make a really nice looking, classy cover for notebooks/portfolios with a stiffener and lining. Quote
Contributing Member TwinOaks Posted March 27, 2011 Contributing Member Report Posted March 27, 2011 Range bags, sandwich a piece of neoprene between two layers and make Nook/Kindle cases, use on the non-slip side of rifle slings... Quote

rcsaddles Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 Make horse shoeing aprons with it. Works great for that. Quote
