This is my first belt. Hand sewen. Took about 6 hours to stitch it. I split the stitching into four sections so i didn't have to deal with 30 ft of thread.

I intended to leave the inside natural, but i splashed some spots of dye onto the back and it become fully dyed. Pretty happy with it except for the stitching

on the back gets a little wavy in a couple of section, not bad but in white really noticable. But its on the inside so its not a huge deal. Just made for me not sellin it

or anything. Its about 5/16 inch thick, just slightly thicker then a The Beltman belt i have.

Thanks for checkin it out.

Thanks for the kind words, The buckle is a Al Stohlman brand I got from the local Tandy store.

Very nice belt with clean lines.

Thanks for the kind words.

Good job on the belt....not a good idea to try to stitch with one long length anyway as the thread starts getting kinda frayed going through them holes so many times.

I hand stitched a belt once.....just once.

Again, it looks real nice.

that's a nice looking belt. i really like the width of the keeper, too.

+1 what rayban said. i used to try to do long sections of stitching in one go.....no more. the thread will fray and look nasty after a while. that is a bit reduced with the polyester that i use. though.

Thanks for the comments. Glad to hear others don't sew straight through. Though I can't

imagine how you could. The sewing wasn't that bad but as sturdy as this one is not sure

I will need to make another one soon.

Thanks agian

Thanks for the comments. I had to bevel the underside of the keeper to

get it to fit but I liked the look of the wider one.

Thanks agian

It is a nice looking belt. I hand stitched one myself a year ago, and since I have lost my mind, I am going to do another one soon. And, as for getting a bit of dye on the back when you intended it to be natural, well, all I can say is "I hate it when that happens".

If it didn't have some "character marks" on it, it wouldn't look hand made.....:red_bandana:
