Members oldtimer Posted April 15, 2011 Members Report Posted April 15, 2011 (edited) Help!!!! I ran into a problem with my Adler 205-374 today, and it won´t make stitches as it is out of timing. Is this corrected by adjusting the height of the needlebar ? / Knut Edited April 15, 2011 by oldtimer Quote
CowboyBob Posted April 16, 2011 Report Posted April 16, 2011 If you have just recently broken a needle then yes,I'd say that you might try holding the needle down maybe 1/8" & if it picks up the the thread you know the bar got pushed up. Let me know if this doesn't work & we'll go to plan B. Bob Quote

( This is what happened : When sewing the needle hit the edge of brass hardware and something bad happened) Is there a drivebelt inside the machine that could have slipped and disturbed the timing? At the moment the needle hits the latch on the bobbin casing ! / Knut Edited April 16, 2011 by oldtimer Quote
CowboyBob Posted April 16, 2011 Report Posted April 16, 2011 Ok,take the needle plate off, turn the machine around so the needlebar is all the way down & turn the machine in the direction it runs & let the needlebar rise up 3.6mm & the point of should be @ the needle.Let me know what happens.
