Members mcn Posted April 16, 2011 Members Report Posted April 16, 2011 I bought a machine a a couple months ago so I am still pretty new to machine sewing. There seems to be lots of lint or thread dust. Is this normal? I am using Linhanyl thread that came with the machine. Quote
Contributing Member UKRay Posted April 16, 2011 Contributing Member Report Posted April 16, 2011 I get the same problem and have tried a number of remedies including a felt pad soaked in silicon oil that the thread runs through on its way to the needle - that helps a bit. Also try a bonded nylon thread, that was my most successful move to date - good luck! Ray Quote
Members Leatherimages Posted April 16, 2011 Members Report Posted April 16, 2011 Using bonded thread is indeed the solution. I believe Linhanyl offers that choice. The non-bonded fuzzies would not show on fabric. Smooth leather surface gives it away. Quote
