texasnewf Report post Posted April 27, 2011 My sister and 6 year old niece from Canada came to visit last week and when she saw my leather work she asked me if I could make a change purse to fit inside her small handbag. I never made one before but decided to put something together for her. I made quick paper template to see how it would work out then came up with this. I would love any links to templates for future projects for her if anyone has any, thanks.

LNLeather Report post Posted June 23, 2011 Oh Hey. That turned out pretty good for a first 'one of a kind'! Simple, but a good design! All I have that might be different, one is probably from a Tandy kit that my brother made about 40 years ago. Tandy might be a good place to go and get ideas for different designs.... and Did you try the advanced search option here for Change Purse? You know, up in the upper right hand corner of this page? Here are a couple of pictures... one from the Tandy kit and another purse I got on ebay, just for design ideas This little purse is a very simple bag with a second pocket under the front flap. I have no idea who made this, where it came from, or how old it is. It feels like it might be made of garment leather, or really thin tooling leather that has been softened up - and there is a simple design stamped into it. I found this in a post, but didn't have a chance to watch it, although I see there are lots of other clips to watch about how to make other bags etc. Let me know if you'd like some dimensions. Hope this is of some help
