Members CitizenKate Posted May 3, 2011 Members Report Posted May 3, 2011 Hi gregoire, glad to have you join us! I don't have this particular machine, but I'm pretty sure there are at least a few people here who do and can help you. I think that will make it a little easier for someone to help you if you could be a little more specific about what you're trying to do, and what kind of problem you're running into. Kate Quote

Kate Kate, Thank you! I basically would need all the info I could get. From the set up, making sure I am threading the machine properly, to help adjusting tention to get a proper stitch. I have the machine set up and have tried to stitch some leather but the loops on the bottom are not getting tight and are getting stuck on the bobbin. I will try to take a few picture and attach them to this post. I am thinking of trying to hire someone locally (san Diego) to help me with the initial set up. v/r gregoire Quote
Members albane Posted May 4, 2011 Members Report Posted May 4, 2011 I would try the local shoe repair shop. Ask them to teach you about the machine ( not shoe repair as they may not want to create a competitor) offer them some compensation for time and effort. The worst that can happen is they may say YES Quote Al Bane
Al Bane For Leather
818 209 7945
www.myspace.com/albaneforleather
www.facebook.com/albaneforleather
www.albaneforleather.etsy.com
Members Kevin Posted May 4, 2011 Members Report Posted May 4, 2011 CampbellRandall has some videos on Youtube I think, and the machines are pretty much alike, if you can run one, you can run the other. Good luck, Kevin Quote

Members CampbellRandall Posted May 14, 2011 Members Report Posted May 14, 2011 Still no luck! Any help would be great! thank you Try threading the top thread under the first take-up roll and over the second. You have it over the first, therefore the machine will not pull enough thread, leaving the large loops. Quote

It is a little better but I still have long loops in the bottom of the leather. Quote
