Depends on how much oil you've applied. I usually apply an even thin coat, let it dry for a few hours, oil again if necessary and then let it dry at least 24 hours before doing anything else with it. Other folks have different routines, but that works on most of what I do.

Same here...24 hours to dry after the final coat of dye is applied. when applying one color over another I allow for 24 hours in between as well. Color and finishes come out truer and deeper in my opinion.

manji, Same same as above. Minimum of 24 hours and then if you apply finish with dauber, rag, wool etc. and you see dye residue on the applicator, you may want to let it set longer before continueing. If you spray the finish, 24 hrs should be plenty of time. Semper-fi MIke
