Members Shorts Posted May 25, 2011 Members Report Posted May 25, 2011 I want to make a couple belts for my friends kids. They're about kindergarten age at the oldest right now. What width do kids jeans have? Also what weigh should I make the straps? I need to grab so hardware too. Anyone done anything like this that can offer some advice before I get started? I'm use to making belts for the big boys - thanks! Quote

You can get the roller buckles in 1" but I liked the brass halter double bar buckle from Tandy's better because you don't need to use a belt keeper. The buckle is brass and a little high for a small buckle but here it is http://www.tandyleat...s/1503-085.aspx . I punched the first hole of the belt to the size they were currently wearing and added several more to grow into. Edited May 25, 2011 by wwwrmbbladescom Quote

One of the boys like to do it right when he wears his hat and boots to go to the farm so if there's room I might do some stitching. Maybe carve or imprint names on bracelets for the girls. Quote
