So I tried my first tapered belt today, a 1.5" strap with 1" ends. All went well until I finished up and noticed that the buckle end was way longer then the tail end of the belt when buckled. I originally cut both ends to the same measurement and then added to the buckle end for the fold over.

I've measured again now that it's together and can figure out what this one needs to be, just wondering if there are some "rule of thumb" measurements that already exist for these types of belts.

In the meantime I will cut this one down to where I think it needs to be and try to find someone with a 30" waist to give it to lol.

Thanks

Thanks John!

I went out and picked up a couple of Al Stohlman books today, and the BELT book was one of them. It has a section on tapered belts.

Have a great holiday weekend!
