EFLeathercraft Report post Posted June 4, 2011 Does anyone know how to tie this knot or is there a tutorial somewhere? And what is it called? http://www.midwestwhips.com/whip%20gallery/Whip%20Pictures/Custom%20Designs/Custom%20Signal%20Whips/slides/4ft%20Blue%20and%20Black%2020%20plait%20Signal%20with%20Box%20Pattern%20Knot%20E.html thanks Evan
Alan Bell Report post Posted June 4, 2011 Not sure of a tutorial but in the description of the whip it calls it a 'box pattern' which is what I have called it. Try Knotheads worldwide. rcsaddles Report post Posted June 4, 2011 I do have the instructions for this knot. It is based on a 7 part 6 bight Turk's head. Ron Edwards wrote the instructions. I will work on it and try to post something in the near future. I guess I should ask if you are in a hurry for it or just wanting to know for future work? skyout Report post Posted June 4, 2011 (edited) This is a 16p X 16b 2 pass, Type 1 using the base 9p X 8b Turks Head using gutted Cross Lace cord. Brian, Knothead, told me it reminded him of the box pattern. All I did was skip the center over on each of the down half cycles. Citizen Kate was kind enough to post my tutorial/grid for the 16p x 16b 2 pass Type 1 Pineapple Knot here: My link I hope this helps some. I'm really looking forward to your tutorial, too! Another one using Venitian Blind cord. Edited June 4, 2011 by skyout

rcsaddles Report post Posted June 15, 2011 That digital copy of the instructions is the same instructions I have. I would recommend anyone wanting it should contact Brian. I will work on a tutorial but summers are really busy so might be a while.
