First Post, First Holster, Sling And Butt Cuff

hey yall,

first let me say, i wish i'd've found this sight before i started trying this stuff. it would've saved me alot of trial and error and i'm sure i would've had a better product overall. anyway here is a strongside holster for a S&W N-frame. i think i got the angle and the highth pretty good. i dont like the hammer keeper but didn't know what esle to do with it. and my edges are crap on all of these. the 2nd pic is a crossdraw for my XD-45 tactical. again the angle is good and it holds the gun good. but im not completely happy with the looks. last is my ching sling and buttcuff/cheek riser for my ishy 308. again a little rough butt functional. feel free to be mean. i can take it.

For me personally i don't like the straight cuts across the tops of the holsters. They would look a lot better if the top of the holster is rounded. As far the strap, i think a thumb break type strap would look a lot better. But you didn't build em for me.

great looking buttcuff! i love it. the holsters look good as well especially for your first ones is it just me or on the springfield xd holster where the trigger guard is molded it looks like its almost hanging over the stitch line it could just be the pic though but keep up the good work!

yea, I feel the same way about the tops and the thumbstrap. But the leather I used was some scraps somebody gave me and I thought the top wouldve rolled if it was unsupported. But like I said I really had no clue what I was doing and still dont. I hope to learn as much as I can here. This is a great forum with some incredible talent. I hope to get better as I go. Thanks for the honest replies yall.
