Some time back I remember someone had posted a pictorial of a belt billet and buckle end with arrows and such depicting the proper way for folks to measure for a belt when calling in an order. I cannot find the post. Does someone have a similiar illustration I could copy and paste?

Thanks

Here's what I've used for years.

I think it came from someone in the iilg.

Here's the same method, just a different picture...

i've seen much the same technique - only measured from the base of the buckle instead of the tip of it. seems like that way would subtract an inch or so.

Measureing from where the tongue intersects with the buckle will give you an entire circumfrence.

Measureing from the heel bar of the bukle, or the fold of the belt, will short you by the difference.

I've found it's wise to add a bit for the thickness of the belt, if it's significant.
