Hey y'all, I haven't posted in a long while so I figured I show off a few photos of an avenger I finished up last week. I took the pictures with my Xoom tablet so the picture quality isn't that great. Sorry!! The color was light brown but I had to put an extra healthy coat of oil and conditioner on it to get that nice supple feel from the tandy bargain hides lol! I think I'm ready to graduate to better leather like W&C or H.O. What do y'all think? Any and all feedback is welcome. Have a great day y'all!

Your holster looks pretty good, but I got a bit lost and stopped looking when you made the comment about adding in a bunch of oil and conditioner to obtain a 'supple' holster. I work hard at making sure that my holsters are as firm as I can possibly make them. As soon as a holster becomes soft and supple, it's useless IMHO. Mike

NOTE TO SELF: Never try to hold a cat and an operating Dust buster at the same time!!

At my age I find that I can live without sex..........but not without my glasses.

Being old has an advantage.......nobody expects me to do anything in a hurry.

Looks great! You might try pulling the slot for the belt slot on the reinforcement towards the trigger guard maybe 1/4", and also move the trailing edge of the reinforcement toward the trigger guard about 1/4" as well. And definitely give HO or W&C a try with your next order.

Thanks for the input y'all! I should of clarified this upfront though, the holster is very firm and rigid, I meant soft and supple as in the surface texture.....it felt like 400 grit sandpaper...even before I dyed and wetmolded. The Bick 4 conditioner I applied helped this alot, but it still has somewhat of a rough surface feel compared to the rest of the hides I've had.....not sure why this is....I just chalked it up to “getting what I paid for" with the tandy bargain single shoulders.

Kiwi actually makes a great conditioner which should soften up the top layer. I also use some other Boot conditioners on IWB's so they do not try and chaff your skin off.

No sir, he fell into that bullet
