Not-So-Standard Alphabet Stamps

Hi Guys

I am looking for a couple of sets of alphabet stamps, but it seems that every single store in the internet only has the Tandy ones.

Do you know a supplier that sells different alphabet stamps? I'm looking for some "nice" ones, not just the plain, Arial-like letters.

I would be especially delighted about a set of lower case letter stamps...

Schpacko - Try Infinity Stamp's website, they a have a lot of different fonts for their aphabet stamps. There's also a Japanese seller on ebay that sells alphabet stamps but he only has one font in two sizes, but they are different from the tandy stamps.

Here's a bit of a trick.....I bought myself some 1/8" or even 1/16" thick plastic (depending on how deep you want to go) at McMaster Carr and stenciled some crazy cool letters in marker on it. I then cut out the letters with an xacto knife and then cleaned up the edges with my dremel and ta-dah.....a cool looking set of letters that are deep enough to emboss in damp leather. I use them to put customers initials on my holsters. I have a clicker press so I just place the letter where I want it and press down on the press and it makes an as-deep-as-needed impression.

You can also call any laser engraving place and they can make you a set out of hard plastic for embossing into leather.

Hi,

I use Letterpress fonts found on ebay and are very cheap, You will be able to get almost any size and font type you need.

I use a composing stick to hold the letters and a press.

These are made of lead which is a very soft metal but as long as you don't drop them they'll last ages

Unfortunately, i dont have a press.... But maybe i could make some handtool to use them.

I know it's been a few years since anyone has posted on this thread, but I was looking for something better as well. While searching, I came across this site.
