Members silkfatblues Posted May 3, 2013 Author Members Report Posted May 3, 2013 Thanx David!! for the background I mostly used puncher A104 and for slight 3d on the lettering and other detail i just used P975... I usualy go over the background couple of times to get that sandy look and to loose tracks of tool shape... on some older stuff it bothers me now when I see tracks i dont like ) Have to get some more tools but not sure about quality when buying online... all the stuff I got are from this most famous american firm called Taiwan lol thanx for replying!! cheers, Silk Quote

Members Cyberthrasher Posted May 21, 2013 Members Report Posted May 21, 2013 I hate you - in a good way Spent a while looking at your tobacco pouches and harp cases the other day too. Makes me want to start ordering up some different upholstery leathers and get to work on some stuff in my head. Members silkfatblues Posted May 21, 2013 Author Members Report Posted May 21, 2013 Thanx guys @Cybertrasher, sometimes I get lucky and find some old scraps and leftovers that can still be used, sometimes people give up on working and sell this stuff realy cheap, machines and all, allways a good bargain. Choose what's good and can be used or reused, machines for parts and stuff like that... this last seat gave me a lot of trouble... I have copied the peices from the original thin fake leather... so, the real leather is much thicker and the whole thing didn't fit as it should have... a lot of stretching and forcing it to fit... finaly I decided to cut some sponge off :D and it worked... so, everything in place now and realy confortable to sit in... cheers, S Quote

Yeah, I worked on one 2up seat and it's still sitting there because all those curves gave me issues. Granted, my leather was too thick for it, but it was still enough to make me cringe at the thought of doing more.
