Haven't posted in a while, so figured I'd share a few holsters I recently shipped out. I do have a question - can someone please post a workflow to removing the stain from the steel contacting the leather and causing the black spots? I've seen Oxalic acid suggested, but I must not have done it right because it didn't remove the stain.

Tooled 4.25" pancake and 5" avenger for a 1911, with a matching belt.

Nice, as usual. That frog panel is awesome.

I've used lemon juice to remove the black spots. squirt straight lemon juice and let it sit awhile.

I'vebeen making some Ruger LC9 IWB holsters with the inside left natural and having the same problem.

I started putting a piece of Saran wrap over the sweat shield while molding.

Just the safety and slide release where leaving the marks. Solved the problem while still leaving the rest of the

gun exposed for molding.

Amazing work by the way.

Good idea about the saran wrap... I've never been a fan of wrapping the entire gun with it while forming (might change my mind if my guns start rusting... LOL), but laying it over the sweat shield is a great idea C.J.

Shooter McGavin - do you rince the lemon juice off? Or just leave it there and apply your finish right over it?

I let it sit overnight then rinsed it the next day. Honestly I dont know if the quick rinse mattered.
