fireguy1717 Report post Posted September 15, 2011 (edited) Just got a singer 78-3 and was wondering what the largest thread size I can sew with it and what needle size I would use? Also do you use the same size thread on the bottom or do you use a smaller size? Any tricks or helps that anyone has about these machines would be great. CowboyBob Report post Posted September 15, 2011 This is a pretty good machine f/leather & should use up to #138,some people use a size smaller in the bobbin & that works best if your sewing something & want a large thread for the look.
