Members TapTapTap Posted September 19, 2011 Members Report Posted September 19, 2011 A few of my latest handbags. My wife suggested using denim instead of leather so this is the result. Would appreciate any comments. TapTapTap Quote
Tinneal Posted September 21, 2011 Report Posted September 21, 2011 Those are not my first choice in purse style, but the lacing, dye and tooling is wonderful! Is the 3rd one a stirrup purse? It looks like it from the side but I can't quite tell. I've always wanted to make one of them... I have a pattern, but its just a matter of getting around to it. Aside from that, more pictures, like maybe of the interiors or how they open, would give us more to comment on! Quote

Yes it is a stirrup purse, also known down my way as a horseshoe bag or a drawstring bag. If you visit my website ( www.myleatherwork.com ) you will find a tutorial available for download on how to assemble the bag. I have also added instructions on various methods of decorating the bags. Normally I use a wallet pattern but have been teaching myself the Sheridan floral style. regards, TapTapTap Quote
Tinneal Posted September 21, 2011 Report Posted September 21, 2011 I'm looking forward to checking out your website when I get home from uni, today! (Right now I have stacks of uni books on one side of me, and rolls of leather on the other... What a terrible choice I make every morning. ) This is my leather "portfolio" https://www.facebook.com/leatherportfolio . Not quite as fancy as yours, but it does the job! Quote
