Members M W Johnson Posted November 30, 2011 Members Report Posted November 30, 2011 Good job on the belt! I would be intersted in knowing how you attached "the hair on hide", was it cut out and then glued on to a backing next to your tooled leather? Quote
Members NHCavalry Posted November 30, 2011 Members Report Posted November 30, 2011 Good Job Interesting design, now you gave me new ideas for belts. Quote

I cut a strip of the hide and glued it to a belt blank, then cut another strip which I tooled and then sewed on top of both. Quote
Members billcurley Posted December 5, 2011 Members Report Posted December 5, 2011 Ok, you all will think this is a stupid question, but what do I need to do to get the tooled portions of my projects darker than the rest of the belt or whatever? I know this is probably basic finishing but I have been unable to figure it out and now one ever showed or told me. Quote
