Hi To All, I am going to have to "relearn" leatherworking and pick up tools as I go. Retirement is boring and I have returned to traditional archery and want my own leather accessories. Let's face it, nothing is nicer than custom and the joy of making it yourself. Nacomis

Hi Nacomis. It seems to me like I've been making things all my life, especially for other people. Then when I got a horse again after years without one, I found I needed to tweek this or that, and I wanted to do it myself. One thing lead to another and now I have a new addiction to deal with, LOL. I'm starting a business with a friend and we are all about custom....we just kinda got off on the wrong track. To get us started, she bought 5 tack sets at a great price but the tack wasn't so great. So now I'm trying to fix it up to sell so we can move on to me making our tack. I have already learned so much here in the few days I've been here, have been downloading ideas right and left. Hope you have as much fun as i have been having. So welcome from VT. Cheryl

Hi Mike, I hear you too! LOL Have always loved making things and love leather, wood, things that are real, not manmade plastic stuff. And there is no way I am going to spend my golden years at the Bingo Hall!! HAHA No leather work to show YET, but here's some photos of some wood carvings I airbrushed. Makes me feel like I am contributing. GOOD STUFF! From a fishermans point of view they look real to me. If your leatherwork is half that good, you;ve got not problem . Look forword to seeing your stuff.

Happy hollidays,

Michael

Hi Cheryl, Glad I am not the only one who keeps making stuff! LOL Of course, when you live in the woods, you get cabin fever when you don't!! I had 17 horses thru HS and college. Know the drill. Miss them awfully, but too many large predators here. bear, cougar, big coyotes. All I can do to keep them and my English Labrador from mixing it up. Guess I need to place an ad for used entry level tools and start hunting up back quiver patterns and leather. Oh, and to make if funnier, I co-own a freshwater fishing tackle shop, fly and spinning, and we sell hunting crossbows and do custom fletching and service. But it keeps me off the streets and out of the pool halls! HAHA Nacomis/Lynda

Thanks Mike! Not too shabby for a 64 year old broad! LOL If you like to fish and get up this way, I co-own a freshwater tackle shop, fly and spinning and we also sell hunting crossbows, etc. Right on the West Branch of the Upper Delaware River, home of record brown and rainbow trout. Oh, friend of mine just made me a new arm guard. Going to sleep with it on until my two custom bows get finished. Nacomis/Lynda
