Members JCW Posted January 4, 2012 Members Report Posted January 4, 2012 I'm hesitant to start a new topic with such a basic beginner question but I can't seem to find the info anywhere. I see all these different snaps for sale but I can't find info on sizing or proper application. Line 24, for example. Is that a size of snap, a specific type, or perhaps both? Specifically, I'll be making some tool pouches (pliers, Leatherman, etc.) and need to choose a proper snap and setter for those applications. If anyone can point me to a resource that explains the wide world of snaps I'd appreciate it Quote
Moderator Art Posted January 4, 2012 Moderator Report Posted January 4, 2012 There is a pretty good explanation here. Durable Dot are Ligne 24 Baby Durable Dot are Ligne 20 Segma are Ligne 16 Glove Snaps are Ligne 10 I think Stainless Steel Durable Dot snaps are used in the marine canvas business, they have a very hard action (they are hard to snap and unsnap, really hard).
