Stamping Letters

Recommended Posts

Here's an idea for stamping letters on a curve without putting a hole in the leather.

The distance is adjustable and accurate.

Just keep turning the leather to index.

Nice! I like the jig you made. I've tried stamping with a drill press before. Works pretty darn well.

Thanks Sylvia;

I should have increased the border on this but you can see how the lettering follows the stitching all the way around, very even and that's what I was trying to accomplish.

The mini slab works great for stamping and tooling small areas.

Kevin.

That is what I like. I am working on a kit wallet and attempted to put my name in a straight line. LOL Let's just say it turned out a bit more "abstract" than I would have liked.

This is a brilliant I need to have one made for me if I do more drill press stamping.

This works well for straight line stamping with hand punching tools too!

Just put the leather under the fence and the letters against the fence and you're good to go.
