Members maui paniolo Posted January 18, 2012 Members Report Posted January 18, 2012 Have been away for a while, but finally got my 2nd bosal done. 5/8" on braided rawhide core 16 strand. It came out ok but I still think there is a lot of room for improvement form the bosals I've seen posted here. Cheers Tony PS Blackhammer I haven't forgotten about the post on Hawaiian saddles Quote
Members barbiesdude Posted January 18, 2012 Members Report Posted January 18, 2012 Looks really good! What is the firmness? Quote
Members ljensen Posted January 18, 2012 Members Report Posted January 18, 2012 It looks good from the pictures. I like the blue and white lace. Quote
Members megabit Posted January 19, 2012 Members Report Posted January 19, 2012 Surelooks like you did a good job on the braiding to me. Can't comment on how well itwill work from looking at pictures and not knowing the dimensions. On thataccord if you won’t get a lot of agreement on what are the best dimensions anyhowso it comes down to does it work on your horses for you. Good job, Mike Quote
Members maui paniolo Posted January 19, 2012 Author Members Report Posted January 19, 2012 Thanks for the nice comments. It is a soft core 11 1/2" with a 8" nose button. I shortend the nose button from the first bosal I made to make it a little faster release. The blue and white were the colors picked by the guy that wanted me to make the bosal. They wouldn'thave been my choice, but had to admit the colors came out nice. The guy that bought it, is the ranch manager one of the big ranches here. He has really good hands as well as horses so he should by real well with a raggy hack. Tony Quote
Members blackhammer Posted January 20, 2012 Members Report Posted January 20, 2012 Looks real nice. No rush on the saddle article. I try to visit your web site as often as I can. Really impressive stuff. Quote
