Hiding Guidelines

Recommended Posts

Hi all. First of all, let me say thanks. This is my first post here, but I have been reading and reading and reading. So much to learn here. I just started playing around with leather 2 weeks ago. So much fun. So much to learn.

Anyway, here is my question:

If I put a light guideline on the leather to keep my borders straight or keep letter stamps in line, no matter how light I try to put it, I end up with a line on my finished product that I don't want. Is there anyway to have a guideline on there without it staying? Do I have to cut it, bevel it and make it part of the design?

Thanks in advance.

Use blue low stick painters tape instead of creasing yoru leather with a line.
