mlapaglia Posted February 4, 2012 Report Posted February 4, 2012 Nice Rig, what can you tell us about it? How long it took, type and size of leather, who's finish, ect. Time to crow a little about this. tell us all about it. Michael Quote
Members gunslinger Posted February 4, 2012 Author Members Report Posted February 4, 2012 Thanks for looking and your comment. Nothing much to say about the rig except I purchased a 22 magnum Rough Rider to use as a rattle snake charmer and in need of a rig to carry it in while checking fences. Used 8 oz. veg. tan for the holster, belt and bowie sheath with a 3oz. insert in the sheath. Used Fiebing's Mahogany as a base followed with Eco-Flo Gel Antique Saddle Tan as the finish for the bowie sheath insert the mahogany is used as the final finish. I picked up the Texas Ranger Belt buckle at the Ranger museum in Waco Texas 28 years ago it now has found a good use. All in all I probably have a week invested in the project{s}. While on the subject I would like to give Will Ghormley a thanks for his Law Dog rig pattern which was scaled down to fit the revolver and to the Wild Rose Trading Company for their great tutorials and historical research in all the both do.....
